Krewe de Camp Staff
Our staff is comprised solely of volunteers who give their time away from work, family and school to guide our high school volunteers and campers through a meaningful and producitve camp. The experienced staff provides a positive and nurturing atmosphere to help foster lifelong friendships and provide life-changing experiences.
The majority of our staff memebers where once high school volunteers fulfilling service project hours while in metro New Orleans area high schools. Some of our college staff members are working towards medical degrees, while others are studying in special needs - a passion they found volunteering at camp. Current staff members work in professions such as social work, nursing/nurse practioner, EMT, police, finance, and hospitality, just to name a few.

Outdoor games are like any outgame activity you may experience at summer camp. We play kickball, softball, dodgeball, etc... Staff and attendants are present to help facilitate a fun and safe time.
ARTS & CRAFTS
Traditional Arts & Crafts geared towards a hands-on activity aimed at enabling the camper to complete multiple projects through the week. Staff and attendants are present to encourage campers to use their creativity.
For many of our campers exercise in water appeals to them because of the unique quality of buoyancy of water that reduces joint loading and impact, and decreases the negative influences of poor balance and poor postural control.
Additionally, swimming is a great activity to escape the summer heat and it's just good fun!
Certified lifeguards are on duty for swimming activities along with qualified staff, many who are certified in life saving techniques.
